Hurt to Hope Golf Tournament
We are pleased to announce that the Calgary Real Estate Board Charitable Foundation has added a second golf tournament to its mix of events for 2006, with brand new partners and a great new location. The Calgary Real Estate Board Charitable Foundation (CREB ® CF), Airdrie & District Victim Assistance Society (ADVAS) and Airdrie RCMP invite you to participate in our 1st Annual “Hurt to Hope” Golf Tournament.
Now, sit back, relax, and get ready to have a whole bunch of fun while we take care of the details. We’ll arrange a FUNdraising day, toasty weather has been ordered. Your registration fee of $125.00 includes green fees, power carts and a scrumptious dinner along with an opportunity to bid on some great items at the silent auction. Be sure to book your calendar for Wednesday, August 30th when a shotgun start of 12:30 p.m. has been planned for you at the Woodside Golf Course. This beautiful course winds over 120 acres of some of the finest parkland in southern Alberta. This is a great tournament course, challenging players at every level of play. Woodside golf course is located in Airdrie at 525 Woodside Drive.
Proud first-time tournament organizers from the Airdrie & District Victim Assistance Society Court Support Program are pleased to have the support of the Calgary Real Estate Board Charitable Foundation. The program makes a difference in the lives of crime victims in the Airdie community and surrounding district area. Individuals are empowered with scene support for victims, follow up, information regarding financial benefits, along with a greater understanding of the criminal justice system and victims’ rights. Victims gain knowledge for court preparation and accompaniment in addition to information about other referral sources.
The Airdrie & District Victim Assistance Society is a group of dedicated community volunteers known as Victim Advocates who work under the guidance and direction of the Airdrie and Beiseker RCMP to support victims of crime or tragedy. Their services are free and confidential.
The Foundation’s focus in 2006 will be the construction of a 60 unit affordable housing development in the district of Millican-Ogden ( Crestwood Road. This development will assist in bringing affordable rental housing units to low income Calgary families and disabled singles. Half of this year’s tournament proceeds will go toward fulfilling our pledge of $1.5 million to the City of Calgary for the Crestwood affordable housing development.
Sponsorship opportunities are available. We invite you to review the Partnership Opportunities Package and to participate and make a difference. Your generosity helps to put on a successful day and tournament. In return, we commit to optimum exposure at the golf tournament and in all our promotion and advertising.
If you require information about the golf tournament, please contact Sandi Ferchau, Special Events Coordinator/Campaign Assistant at 781-1324 or Darlene Martin, Administrative Assistant at 218-3686. We look forward to seeing you this summer.
